For Your Furry Friends
Just about every staff member at Mountain View Lodge has a best friend in the form of a furry canine. (The owner has six!) So, we understand the desire to bring them on your travels and the frustration when you can’t find a place that welcomes them with open arms.
That’s where we come in. Whereas other lodges charge a per-pet, per-night fee, we charge $30 per pet for the entire length of your stay. Here are the details:
While we love every animal, we can only welcome dogs and cats into our lodge. We once had a monkey, and, well, enough said.
When you make your reservation, please let us know if your pet(s) will be accompanying you. This enables us to prepare a pet-friendly room in advance. If the pet is unregistered, a $100 fee will be added to your room charge. We also reserve the right to limit the number of pets staying in a room.
Please keep your pups leashed at all times and clean up after them. If you need doggie bags, please let us know. Cats should come equipped with a litter box.
We know that leaving an animal in the car in the Texas heat is not an option. For this reason, we allow pets to remain in the room as long as they are well-behaved. Dogs that are inclined to bark or have destructive tendencies should not be left alone.
We also recommend keeping them in a crate when you’re gone, as it can provide a safe place and help them feel more comfortable when alone in new surroundings. If guests complain or damage occurs, management reserves the right to request you find other accommodations and to charge for damage. If the pet appears aggressive or potentially harmful, we may also, at our discretion, request you find other lodging. No refunds will be given for early departure.
Guests are responsible for any personal injuries or property damage resulting from their pet’s behavior and agree to hold harmless Mountain View Lodge and its owners and operators from all damage and liability resulting from their pet’s behavior.
Now that the legal technicalities are out of the way—we’re excited to have you and your family, whether two or four-legged, come stay with us and enjoy the beauty of the Davis Mountains and the star-filled sky!
